BECOME A MEMBER

The term member is not used in the Bible (neither is trinity) but the concept of commitment certainly is. The word partnership is used and that is a very good way of understanding membership. In Philippians 1:5 Paul wrote, ``I thank my God for your partnership in the Gospel.`` He knew Philippi's committed people were what caused the church to succeed. Throughout the Bible believers were identified with a local church whether in Corinth, Ephesus, Colossae or other cities. One of the major themes of the Bible is commitment and there is no better way to commit than becoming a member of a church.

GET BAPTIZED

The Bible says . . .

The Philippian jailer brought Paul and Silas out of the prison and asked, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved’ . . . He and all his family were baptized . . . The whole family was filled with joy, because they had come to believe in God.”

Acts 16:30-34

VOLUNTEER

The church community brings together a diversity of talent and strengths that can nourish and support us in our walk with God. Walking through the doors into a community of believers, we meet others whom to the best of their ability are:
Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. —Ephesians 4:3, KJV
Volunteer you time and the Lord Jesus Christ will reward you in so many ways.
